CLASSROOMS
Welcome to our Four Seasons classrooms!
At Four Seasons A+, we believe in creating a safe, equitable, and accessible learning environment where students are encouraged to express themselves through the arts.
At Four Seasons A+, we value each student and their unique lived experience. We support their learning through:
- Arts, DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing), and Language Academy programming.
- Strong, foundational Tier 1 instruction.
- Comprehensive and equitable educational opportunities rooted in creativity and critical thinking.
- Engaging specialist classes, field trips, and arts residency opportunities.
- A supportive and collaborative environment for staff and students alike.
- Building strong family partnerships.
Four Seasons A+ Elementary combines daily arts instruction, interdisciplinary teaching and partnerships with arts organizations. Each class creates a sense of community which respects and values all members. The arts provide a vehicle for integrating varied strategies throughout the instructional day to enhance student achievement.
From our on-site dance studio to our music room stocked with guitars and keyboards, we make sure that our Pre-K through 5th grade students experience the arts on a daily basis. We strive to intergrate the arts throughout the school day to ensure that all students have creative and unique ways to demonstrate their learning.
PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)
Four Seasons A+ Elementary has adopted a proactive approach to creating a positive learning climate called PBIS. PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) is a school-wide system of support that includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments.
PBIS at school fosters respectful, supportive relationships among students and staff; reinforces positive academic and social behavior; and provides an opportunity for positive student-teacher interactions. A continuum of positive behavior support for all students within our school is implemented in all areas of the school including the classroom and non-classroom settings (i.e., hallways, lunchroom, bus). Attention is focused on creating and sustaining systems of support that improve teaching and learning for all students by making problem behavior less, while making desired behavior more effective, efficient and functional.
