Meet Ms. Logan For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be an actor. I grew up in Northern Minnesota in a town called Bemidji. My mom was a writer and an English teacher at Bemidji High School and my dad was a composer and he also directed the choir at Bemidji State University. I have one brother who is 6 years younger than I am. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two daughters. He works in the film industry. I guess you could say that the arts are a family affair. After high school, I went to college. I started at the University of Minnesota and later transfered to Luther College in Decorah, IA. I graduated in 1987 with a BA in English and Secondary Education. After college, I moved to Minneapolis and began my career as a professional actress. My very first show was at The Minneapolis Children's Theater Company, and it was wonderful! Since then, some of the theaters that I have worked at include The Great American History Theater, Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop, Stages Theater Company, Troupe America and the Actor's Theater of Minnesota. I have also appeared in several commercials, industrial videos and I even got to be in a couple of big screen movies! I love to perform in big musicals, but my very favorite kind of theater to perform is Improvisational Theater. When I was at Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop, I learned a lot about improvisation and sketch writing. I coached a young adult team. We wrote and performed several improv/sketch comedy shows for the Minnesota Fringe Festival and the Chicago Improv Festival. I still teach improvisation to all sorts of people - children through adults, and I think that improvisation is a skill that everyone should learn! As soon as I began acting, I began teaching theater to children and adults. I have taught with The Minnesota Children's Theater Company, Stages Theater Company, The St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop. I love teaching theater, and I'm pretty sure it's exactly what I should be doing with my life! I met my husband, Rick, while I was working at Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop. We were married in 1997. We have 3 daughters - Olivia, Nora and Ava. We have a black lab named Shadow and a cat named Ruby. We live in St. Paul. I have been teaching at Four Seasons A+ Elementary School since December, 2002. I love this school and I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful, educational and artistic community.
