Thank you for visiting our web page. Welcome to fourth grade. We currently have thirteen girls and twelve boys making up our class. This is a great year for academic growth. More responsibility is placed on fourth graders as they become better independent thinkers and learners. Fourth graders are just beginning to think for themselves and are starting to ask, "how come and why?" It is truly amazing watching your child transition from the primary grades into the intermediate grades and begin to question the world around them. I look forward to working with your children this year to help them reach their potential and experience success in fourth grade. Fall Intersession is quickly approaching and it has been a busy past few months. What an exciting group of fourth graders. We just finished up our "Living Museum" and invited our third grade neighbors to come and take part. Fifth and sixth graders joined us also. This was a culminating activity for our biography genre study we just completed. Students were involved in a month long project where they chose a person to research, complete a biography poster, and then memorize lines for the living museum. All twenty-five students were exceptional at turning themselves into the person they had studied. The choir students are preparing for their upcoming concert tour by learning eight songs for their upcoming tour. They will perform December 16 at the Town Center and December 18 at the Mall of America. Hopefully you are able to hear them on one of their stops.
