Reader's Workshop
The students will meet the reading standards this year by reading, evaluating, analyzing, discussing and responding a variety of books: fantasy, contemporary fiction, historical fiction, biographies, science fiction, adventure, non-fiction and poetry. to what they are reading in a variety of ways, and each student is required to read AT LEAST 25 books, at his or her level, by the end of the school year.
In guided reading groups the students are reading books that are in the genre of Realistic Fiction.
