| Welcome to the 8th Annual Hockey Clinic Page! | | For the eighth year, we had a blast learning to skate with our hockey buddies! We started our day by making blankets for Project Linus, an organization that donates blankets to kids in local hospitals. Our buddies helped us tie many knots! Then we laced up our skates and took to the ice. At the start of the day, not all of us knew how to skate, but by the end of our time together, we were all doing great! Some of our parents learned right along with us! Despite the extra cold rink, we couldn't stop laughing and zooming around. Finally, we warmed up with hot chocolate and cookies. Thanks to Irondale Girls' Hockey for inviting us and showing us other opportunites in girls' athletics! Thanks to the Super Rink for donating the ice time and the skate rental! Thanks to the Booster Club for purchasing and preparing the blankets and for treating us to IHS sweatshirts. These are the only other gray sweatshirts that are allowed as part of our uniform. We love participating in the hockey clinic and really look forward to it year after year. We miss the buddies we had as 2nd graders, but had so much fun with the new buddies we met as 4th graders.
